Munnar is a tranquil hill station nestled in the hills of Idukki district in Kerala. One of the most popular tourist destinations in Kerala, Munnar is located at a height of 1600 m above the sea level, offering stunning views like few others. A land that seems to have been plucked from the realms of fantasy and painted onto the canvas of reality, Munnar is magically ethereal in every facet. Undulating hills cloaked in emerald greenery, mist-kissed valleys, sprawling tea plantations, cascading waterfalls and the crisp mountain air together weave a tapestry of beauty like no other.
Situated about 1600m above sea level, Munnar is at the confluence of three mountain streams- the Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala The word Munnar translates to three rivers in Malayalam.
- Our representative will receive you on arrival from Cochin( Airport / Railway Station).
- Board the transit arranged and head to Munnar (130 Km | 4 Hrs 30 Min).
- Visit Cheeyapara & Vallara Water Falls. (Seasonal).
- Tea Garden if it is open and you wish to visit.
- Mattupetty Dam – A vital hydroelectricity project now haven for many birds and animals.
- Kundala Lake – Picturesque landscape not to forget Asia’s first Arch Dam.
- Eco Point – A beauty of its own a great view of Nilgiri Hills.
- Afternoon visit to Top station or Eravikulam (Rajmala) National Park.
- Optional to visit Blossom Park & Tea museum if time interested.
- After breakfast drive from Munnar to Thekkady (110 Kms | 3 Hrs 30 Min).
- Visit to Periyar National Park with optional activity of boating & Jeep Safari.
- Kathakali, Kalaripayattu (Martial Arts) and Elephant ride are optional.
- Overnight stay at the hotel in Thekkady.
- After breakfast, proceed to Alleppey/Kumarakam (180 Kms | 5 Hrs).
- Check-in to the Houseboat by 12.30 pm.
- Enjoy the backwater cruise in a Houseboat till evening 5'O clock.
- Overnight stay in the houseboat.
- Check-out and proceed for Cochin Departure.
- Visit Marari beach if time interested.
- Fort Kochi, Mattanchery, Jew Street etc will cover as per the availability of time.
- Cab will drop you at Cochin Airport/Railway station.
